James "Pop Up" Morse (played by Peter Falk at his best) is a stubborn grandfather whose whimsical imagination and storytelling tales have led to resentment between himself and his grown son, Johnnie (Tim Daly). "Pop Up's" fantastic stories have captivated his grandson, Chris (Josh Hutcherson), who wonders, "are grandfather's stories true?" So, as a result of the family rivalry, Chris and "Pop Up" set out on a journey to discover what is fact and what is fiction.
A young boy learns to face his fears, a father learns the power of believing in someone, and a grandfather gets a second chance to bring his family together... all because of Wilder Days.
