Hostage

Devastated by a failed hostage crisis in which a young mother and child died, LAPD negotiator, Jeff Talley, retreats to the low crime hamlet of Bristo Camino to become the local chief of police. However, the ghosts of Talley's past return when three delinquents take a family hostage after a failed home robbery. Holed up in a multi-million dollar compound which hides its own dark secrets, the kidnappers create a tense standoff. Talley refuses to take charge and hands authority over to the Sheriff's Department. However inside the house is information which a major crime syndicate wants. So they create their own hostage situation and take Talley's wife and child. Now the former negotiator must reassume command and make a choice: does he sacrifice another family to save his own?
