Following the unanimous acclaim of "All About Mother" and "Talk To Her", comes Almodovar's next astonishingly original film. Rising highly controversial issues and laced with potent themes, Almodovar has created one of his boldest cinematic journeys ever.
Enrique (Fele Martinez), a young film director, is surprised to receive a visit from a handsome young actor claiming to be Ignacio (Gael Garcia Bernal), his school friend and first adolescent love who he has not seen in 16 years. Ignacio implores Enrique to read a story he has written as a possible film.
At first wary, Enrique is moved to make the film with Ignacio in the lead and finds that the movie begins to overlap with real life, making the men face the past and make decisions that will alter the very fabric of their existence. Repentance, duplicity and artifice will be their arsenals of choice.
Featuring Gael Garcia Bernal, the breakout international star of "The Motorcycle Diaries" and "Y Tu Mama Tambien", Bad Education is cinema at its provocative best.
