Who is hiding behind the horrendous actions of the "Monster Of Rostov", one of the most ruthless serial killers in history?
How can one man kill and eat more than 50 children and adolescents without leaving a trace of evidence across the boundless territory of the Soviet Union?
It is the end of the 80's, Detective Timurovic Lesiev (Marton Csokas), a young magistrate and family man, must urgently find an answer to this horrible question. The Monster hides behind the crooked smile and magnetic look of Professor Andrej Evilenko (Malcolm McDowell from A Clockwork Orange). He is a teacher of history and Russian literature at an orphanage on the outskirts of Moscow. He is a sick, dangerously schizophrenic man. His illness renders him strong, astute and elusive. In the psychological emptiness of the communist regime, mental illness is rampant, giving birth to invulnerable monsters.
To unmask and capture The Monster Of Rostov, one must enter completely into his mind. One must try to comprehend something that is beyond comprehension; something that even thinking of becomes almost unbearable.
