2000, 96 minutes, Rated MA

A young woman who is a traumatic agoraphobic as the result of rape the previous year lives as a virtual shut-in within the only place she feels safe - her home. Her work is delivered by courier, she shops via catalogue and watches the world from her windows. She has ended the fragile relationship with her boyfriend, who cannot understand her confusion and paranoia, or the way she shrinks from him when they are together. Her only human contacts are with a female colleague from work, her sister and the known couriers who deliver her supplies.

She rents a room in her two-storey home to a cook on an oilrig - he has days and weeks working at sea and time on land. The mysterious stranger displays a suspicious behaviour... especially around the kitchen. Is it her distorted mind or does he use his knives more than he should?
