It is 1930's New York and the Tempio brothers are known all too well in the underworld. As racketeers, they provide protection for the unions and lean heavily on business owners. A rival mob leader, however, has asked them to lighten the pressure on a businessman who is being forced to lay off union owrkers. Johnny refuses to oblige and later is found gunned down in the street. His murder rocks the family who must now make the next move, knowing that any act of revenge could trigger a devastating all-out war.
