The old-fashioned Radford brewery is the subject of an unwelcome takeover bid by a large multi-national, when the managing director is murdered. Morse becomes confinced that everyone involved is hiding something, and the Radford family is closing ranks against him.
Driven To Distraction
A young, attractive police sergeant comes between Morse and Lewis when she is called in to assist in the investigation of the murder of two young women, much to the disgust of Morse. But as the murder inquiry proceeds, Morse and Lewis have a serious difference of opinion and Morse and the sergeant find themselves working closer together.
