Oliver Wendell Watson is a successful advertising executive, with a loving wife, three terrific children and a beautiful home in the suburbs.

Then one fateful day his wife tells him that she is leaving to pursue an education at Harvard University. Her promise to return home on weekends is quickly broken, and Oliver is left to carry on with his new life as father, mother and single man.

Unable to cope with the loss of their mother the children fall apart blaming their father for all the problems that have occurred. Oliver suffering the loss of his own mother is finding it harder and harder to cope.

So he decides to accept a promotion that ill take him to Los Angeles, some 3,000 miles away from his recent tragedies. It's there that he falls in love with Charlotte Sampson and actress who begins to play a big part in his life.

Can Oliver persevere, and win back the love and respect of the ones who still mean more to him than anything else.
