Greed, power and denial cover a deadly truth lying beneath the small California town of San Catalano. Explosions on a construction site operated by real estate developer, Max Farrington (Jack Scalia), suddenly awaken a deadly swarm of Silent Predators, mutant rattlesnakes armed with needle-sharp fangs ozzing a poisonous venom for which there is no antidote. It is up to the town's new fire chief, Vic Rondelli (Harry Hamlin), to protect the town from falling prey to the slithering killers.
