When it comes to snobbery, Hyacinth Bucket is in a class of her own. Obsessed with etiquette and breeding, she is desperate to impress the neighbours and elbow her way into the local gentry.
The original doyenne of domesticity, Hyacinth Bucket ('Bouquet' but of course!) takes her bow in the final series of this hilarious comedy of manners. Hyacinth remains busy entertaining the neighbours with her candlelit suppers, tidying up her unruly and frightfully 'common' family, and fawning over her dear 'Daddy'. Somehow she still also finds time to spend her ever-suffering husband's money and drag him to waterfront jaunts and countryside excursions.
It's a challenge to keep up with the laughs provided by the social-climbing antics of the 'lady of the house', Roy Clarke's comedic monster, Hyacinth Bucket. Superbly lead by its award-winning star, Patricia Routledge, the series co-stars Clive Swift, Josephine Tewson, David Griffin, Geoffery Hughes and Judy Cornwell.
