It has been over 30 years since famed novelist, Adrienne Mark, has been home to her native France. A Jew in Nazi-occupied Paris during World War II, she was sent away by her mother who was later captured and killed by the SS. Now a resident of New York, Adrienne vowed never to return to Paris. But with the news that her mother's former home is to be sold, she becomes haunted by disturbing memories she cannont suppress.
In an effort to bury her demons once and for all, Adrienne heads back to Paris - and there she uncovers secrets that will change her life forever more...
