Twice a week Zhou Yu (Gong Li from 2046 and The Emperor And The Assassin), a beautiful artisan, takes a train to a faraway town where she indulges in a torrid affair with Chen (Tony Leung Ka-Fai from Twenty Thirty Forty), her poet-lover.
