Award winner Anthony Quinn headlines a first-rate cast in this dramatic and powerful war saga from the acclaimed director of Von Ryan's Express and Peyton Place.

After a humiliating defeat in Indochina, Lt. Col Raspeguy (Quinn), gets another chance to prove himself when he meets and falls for a beautiful French Countress, who uses her position to swing him a new posting in Algeria. However, when Arab terrorists attempt to oust the French from Algeria, he launches an all out bloody battle against the terrorist rebel force - a battle that dramatically illustrates the brutality and senselessness of human conflict.

Based on the novel "The Centurions" by Jean Larteguy and featuring an all-star supporting cast including Alain Delon, George Segal, Michelle Morgan and Claudia Cardinale, Lost Command is a hard-hitting and thought-provoking film about the futility of war in the tradition of films like All Quiet On The Western Front and Gallopoli.
