2004, 103 minutes, Rated M

Zano and Naima, a pair of bohemian Parisians of Algerian descent, embark on a road-trip to their parents' homeland. Strapping on backpacks and intoxicated with freedom, they make their way across Spain and Morocco by any means possible, discovering their roots in the heady music of Andalusia and Maghreb. By taking a reverse path to exile, the pair hope to reclaim their identities in the land of their heritage - a land they know little about.

From the multi award-winning expert on Gitano life, EXILS is a poetic and political journey through beautiful Mediterranean landcapes and the diverse musical styles of France, Spain, Morocco and Algeria.
