When Chechen terrorists seize control of an apparently decommissioned Russian nuclear power plant with plans to cause a melt-down, there's only one man who can avert a nuclear disaster ? The Marksman (Snipes). An elite U.S. Special Forces operative, his mission is to infiltrate the heavily-guarded facility and 'mark' the target for an American missile strike that will take it out of operation. But when he discovers that it's the missile strike and not the terrorists that will ignite the device, the Marksman becomes caught in a deadly race against time to stop the chain reaction of events that could start World War 3.
