International superstars Liv Ullman and Jeremy Irons star in this highly claimed Australian adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's timeless play - a poignant story of a mother and father, a young girl and The Wild Duck.
Harold (Jeremy Irons) is a photographer in turn of the 19th century Australia. Disillusioned that he has missed out on a career in the sciences, he lives a compromised life with his quite, subdued wife Gina (Liv Ullman), his young daughter Henrietta (Lucinda Jones), who is slowly going blind, and his father, the Major (John Meillon).
Their lives are suddenly torn apart when over a two day visit from an acquaintance, Gregory (Arthur Dignam), long-kept secrets are at last revealed. And Henrietta and her wild duck will loom large in the tragedy that unfolds.
