2001, 88 minutes, Rated PG

Diary Of A City Priest is based on the inspiring true story about the devotion, crisis and redemption of Father John McNamee who dedicated over 25 years to St. Malachy's parish in one of Philadelphia's toughest neighbourhoods.

Father Mac documents his service over the years in a journal giving an inside look into the unbelievable joys and daily challenges he experiences in this underprivileged community.

Confronted with gangs, poverty, drugs and feelings of hopelessness, Father Mac is a tireless crusader, handing out food and clothes to the poor, helping educate students and even occasionally bailing out neighbourhood kids from jail. He puts his life in the heat of danger in order to provide for his parish. He is a complex man coming to terms with his own beliefs and faith as he serves the people.

In the heart of the city, where hope is hard to come by, Father Mac discovers what miracles are made of and proves to those around him what faith is all about.
