Two Cops, Two Choices... Look The Other Way OR Break The Rules...

Inspired by real life events on the street, The Life is a gripping drama about police officers who struggle to help addicts in a world on the edge, and their quest for change on the streets of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. The Life reveals the incredible fortitude required by both the beat police and their addict counterparts in enduring conditions unlike those of any other city in the world.

Joined by rookie cops, Matt and Daryl, the team of dedicated cops go against their superiors and challenge traditional Police department policies. In place of weapons, the officers use compassion and cameras in their war against drugs - in a bid to change both the community's view of the addicts and the addicts' views of themselves. Their story unfolds in a fast-paced and compelling narrative, and as the officers attempt to assist and rehabilitate the addicts, the relationships and situations that develop are both heart-rending and heart-warming.
