Returning to Earth after a deep space mission, the crew of the Odyssey space shuttle look on in horror as the planet explodes before their eyes. On board, Commander Chuck Taggart (Peter Weller of Robocop fame), his son (Christopher Gorham), a geneticist (Sebastian Roche), an astronaut (Tamara Craig Thomas) and a TV newswoman (Leslie Silva) escape and are met by a mysterious being, who offers to transport them back five years in time to try to save the Earth. Armed only with a bit of computer code referring to something known as "Leviathan," Taggert is determined to save the planet... but soon discovers that even the smallest action on their part can quickly change the course of history in unexpected and potentially devastating ways.
