It's the time of Ancient Greece, 2000 B.C., and the city of Iolcus is under attack. Jason is only three years old when his uncle, evil tyrant Pelias, kills his father King aeson, the popular ruler of Iolcus, and claim the throne. Furthermore, Pelias marries Jason's mother, Queen Polymele. Fortunately, Jason is rescued from certain death and taken away from Iolcus to be raise.
Twenty years later, Jason is informed if his past - it's time for him to fulfill his destiny and reclaim his father's kingdom. Under the protection of the Gods, especially Hera, Jason sets off on a dangerous quest to take back Iolcus.
When Jason arrives back in Iolcus, a threatened Pelias quickly sentences him to death. In exchange for sparing his life, Jason offers to bring his uncle the Golden Fleece, the greatest gift from the Gods. Pelias, who obsessively covets the Fleece, agrees.
Jason builds a ship, the Argo; and gathers a crew of adventurous and strong sailors, the Argonauts. However, a difficult journey will be made harder when Zeus, Hera's jealous husband, commits to stopping Jason. The quest for the Fleece leads the crew to overco endless obstacles beginning with a mammoth battle against a giant the size of an island.
Barely escaping, Jason next faces an epic hurricane that blows the Argonauts to Lemnos, an island of seduction where the women sacrifice their men. On Table Top Island, the sailors are confronted by the deadly flying Harpies, who swoop down and kill two of Jason's men.
Finally, Jason arrives in the city of Colchis where he must capture the Fleece, closely guarded by King Aertes. With the help of the king's daughter Medea - a sorceress, whom Hera has made fall deeply in love with Jason - he tames a fire-breathing bull and squashes the king's army. He wins the Fleece and, along with his new love Medea, heads back to his homeland.
Despite being presented with the Fleece, Pelias orders Jason to be killed. However, aided again by Medea, who creates a diversion, Jason stabs and kills Pelias. Jason is named king and the beautiful Medea is named queen.
Pelias' fate is not so bright. He is sent to the afterworld where he spends eternity being attacked by the spirits of the souls he killed - including King Aeson. Destiny is fulfilled and happiness reigns over Iolcus.
