In what has been considered his best film work ever, Josh Hartnett delivers a stirring performance as Donald, a young man living with a condition he doesn't even know he has. Unable to connect with people and obsessed with numbers and order, Donald has always felt alone in the world.
One day, Isabella (Radha Mitchell, Melinda & Melinda) bursts into his life and blows his quiet, subdued existence apart. Loud, impetuous and emotionally fragile, Isabella couldn't be more opposite to Donald's withdrawn nature. Yet despite their outward differences, they see in each other a like minded spirit, a chance at happiness and, at last, someone who understands.
And what they will grow to learn is that they also share the same condition - the relatively rare form of Autism called Asperger's Syndrome.
But can their love overcome the obstacle that is their own minds.
