In 1945 Eugene Jerome finds himself far from the comforts of home when he is drafted and sent to basic training in the Mississippi. Eugene is determined to survive the rigours of army life and leave the camp with everything he came with...except his virginity.

Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Road To Welville) and Christopher Walken (Batman Returns and True Romance) star in Neil Simon's hilarious adaptation of his long running Broadway comedy about a boot camp during World War II. Directed by Mike Nichols (The Graduate, Working Girl), the story of Eugene's comic travels from adolescence to adulthood is Neil Simon at his funniest.
