Gerry Austin, a 19-year-old dole bludger from Auckland, uses a stolen driver's license to rent a 1978 yellow Mini. He offers a ride to a stranger, John, who is on his way to Invercargill to reconcile with his estranged wife. With anarchic cheerfulness the two new friends set off on a road trip traversing the country from top to bottom. With the police never far behind, the troublesome pair, dubbed "The Blondini Gang" by the media, miraculously avoid arrest whilst gaining the affection of a nation for their exploits, all the time thumbing their noses in the face of authority.
One of the most popular New Zealand cult films of all time, Goodbye Pork Pie features a brand new digital transfer, 5.1 soundtrack and over 150 minutes of extras.
