The film which brought director Francis Veber and comic duo Pierre Richard and Gerard Depardieu to fame, La Chevre introduces Francois, a man with seriously bad luck. When a businessman's daughter disappears in Mexico, Francois is sent to track her down. Why? She also has terrible luck and perhaps this shared trait might help to locate her. Assisted by private eye Campana (Depardieu), Francois' trail of destruction leads straight to hilarity.
