2006, 82 minutes, Rated MA
It starts out as a rags-to-riches story as Troy Duffy, a struggling musician and bartender, sells his first screenplay called The Boondock Saints to industry giant Harvey Weinstein at Miramax. The deal includes a directing gig for Duffy, a soundtrack gig for his band and the bar he used to work at thrown in!
Duffy allows his two friends to document his anticipated rise to glory. Over the course of this documentary, he irrovacbly alienates his friends and family, and burns every bridge possible in both the music and film industries with arrogance, vanity and narcissism.
Duffy's rise and subsequent fall from Hollywood grace is something you won't believe unless you see it for yourself.
