"In sickness and in health, till death do us part."
So vowed newlyweds Denise and Danny before bounding off for an idyllic honeymoon at a friends beach house. Soaking up the Suns rays the couple's bliss is interrupted when a half-decomposed body lurches out of the sea and spews black bile into Danny's mouth, choking him to death. The hospital is unable to revive him, but in the midst of Denise's inconsolable mourning he suddenly sits up... a changed man.
The next day, Denise catches her formerly vegetarian husband feasting on human flesh in the bathtub. What's a girl to do? She downs a couple of tequila shots, smokes a cigarette and helps him clean up the mess. He promises never to hurt her, so she hangs in there because he's the love of her life, but the harrowing descent into a hellish nightmare stretches the concept of commitment to it's breaking point.
