Featuring the voices of Leslie Nielsen (Naked Gun, Scary Movie 3), Robert Hays (The Santa Trap, American Tail) with Fred Willard (The Wedding Planner) and Eric Idle (102 Dalmatians, Pinocchio) this enchanting film is an adaptation of E.T.A Hoffman's timeless fairytale, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.

Clara, a beautiful young girl is visiting St Petersburg with her family when she discovers a toy shop, and inside the shop window, a small nutcracker with a tear in his eye. Perhaps I can explain says the owner, and he begins to tell Clara the story of how a spoiled young Prince became trapped inside a nutcracker by a magic spell. The owner, a magician himself and also the Prince's uncle, persuades her to embark on a journey to find the Magic Nut which, will release the young Prince from the spell. Together, Clara and the Nutcracker Prince must venture to the Land of Toys, all the while battling with the greedy and ambitious Mouse King who wishes to harness these magic powers himself. On a magical journey, full of wonder and discovery, the Nutcracker Prince learns at last the true meaning of love and friendship.

With original songs by Sophie B. Hawkins & John Sutherland and Florence Joy, and classical favourites including Overture and Waltz of the Flowers, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King is an irresistible family viewing treat.
