Based on a true story.

When Calgary Flames Hockey start Shieldon Kennedy meets Jana, a beautiful model, he falls in love...or tries to. Something keeps getting in the way and Sheldon seems intent on destroying her love for him. In fear of losing the love of his life, Sheldon finally confesses to her his deapest, darkest secret - that he suffered years of sexual abuse at the hands of his junior hockey coach. Instead of freeing himself from his past, Sheldon is haunted by nightmarish memories of his youth. It is only with Jana's love and support that Sheldon is able to confron his past and begin to heal.
