The Mercy Falls Children's Hospital is closing its doors for good. The remaining patients are being transferred to London hospitals, but the process is taking longer than expected: a series of rainstorms has grounded the helicopters in charge of transporting the patients. Then there is the problem of the strange incidents: children's bones breaking for no apparent reason - unexplainable fractures that have the medical personnel dumbfounded.
The children in the hospital are afraid of something intangible, invisible, something that shouldn't exist. Some of the children claim to have seen it with their very own eyes, moving through the hospital corridors, crouching in the shadows. Something terrifying from the past that has come back to haunt, something that shouldn't be here, something fragile...
