Burried secrets always surface.

Emily Parkes is a beautiful and confident woman. A successful lawyer, she has it all, but her life is missing something...Destiny. Fate. Love at first sight. These are things that never meant anything in Emily's perfectly ordered life - until she meets Billy Hytner, a talented photographer, and her life is thrown into turmoil.

Strange things begin to happen to Emily when Billy gives her an antique engagement ring. Emily begins to see the ghost of the ring's previous owner Marie, who disappeared years earlier. Only her severed finger, complete with the ring, was ever discovered. Emily's "gift" of being able to see the dead may finally help to solve the mystery. She faces the terrifying prospect that the murderer is closer than she suspected, and that meeting and falling for Billy was no accident.
