Based on a harrowing true story, six long-time friends reunite for a tropical cruise aboard a luxury yacht and end up in a desperate fight for survival.
To celebrate his friend Zach's birthday, big-noter and lifelong friend daredevil, Dan invites his old group of friends to join him and new girlfriend Michelle on board the yacht. Along for the ride are Zach and his girlfriend Lauren and married couple Amy and James with their newborn baby girl, Sara.
The champagne flows freely and with the sun blazing they decided to take a refreshing swim, dropping anchor near a spectacular reef in open water. But what began as now turns out to be a fatal mistake when the friends realise that they forgot to lower the boarding ladder and have no way of getting back on to the boat.
With the deck tantalisingly just out of their reach and with the sides too slippery to climb, panic and anger quickly take hold. Adrift becomes a dramatic and chilling race against time for survival.
