The Return of the Secaucus 7Icon_movClass_M

1980, 108 minutes, Rated M

Widely considered to be the predecessor to later classics such as The Big Chill, The Decline of the American Empire and Broken Flowers, The Return of the Secaucus Seven is a story of friendship, sex, jealousy and unrequited love, beautifully told in a cosy vacation house in New Hampshire.

A group of formerly politically active 1960's college friends decided to reunite for a weekend. The intricate dynamics of their relationships play out over the two days as feeling of love, jealously and animosity are revealed and discussed over good food, theatre, alcohol and drugs. This weekend of nostalgia and baby-boomer soul-searching in The Return of the Secaucus Seven make for an often-overlooked classic.
