Utilizing elements of a classic Hitchcockian thriller, acclaimed actor/producer/director Robert Townsend (Meteor Man. The Parent Hood, Hollywood Shuffle) goes for the throat with this tension-filled actioner. Townsend is Alan Chambers, a hard working corporate lawyer and family man who confronts his ideals of justice when he and his college law friends begin a bold experiment.
Thinking justice has become soft, Alan puts together a list of criminals who have escaped through loopholes in the law. Together with his colleagues, Alan hunts down these criminals becoming worse than the drug dealers, rapists and thugs on the streets. Branded vigilantes and hunted by the law, Alan and his fellow lawyers spiral downward ink a justice driven hell as their high ideals meet the reality of the streets. With twists and turns every step of the way, Blacklisted features knockout performances by Townsend, Vanessa Williams, Harry Lennix and Calvin Levels.
