Thanks to the popularity of their new burger, The Big One, fast food restaurant chain Mickeys are riding a huge wave of success. But there's a problem: laboratory tests have revealed faecal contamination in their burger meat. Desperate to avoid a PR disaster, marketing executive Don Anderson is sent to the sleepy Colorado town of Cody - home of Mickey's meat-packing plant - to investigate the problem. But Cody is a town with its own secrets, living in the long shadow of Mickeys' questionable corporate ideals.
Based on Eric Schlosser's best-selling book, Richard Linklater's biting commentary on corporate ethics and the fast food industry was nominated for the prestigious Golden Palm at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
