There's nothing that Queenslanders enjoy more than seeing their heroes conquer the villains from the south.

Success was something that they can quickly became accustomed to in Origin football by dominating the first five years. So it was hard to take when NSW claimed back to back series wins in 1985/86.

The shock of surrendering the title simply made the Maroons more determined and they ended the decade in fine style by claiming a hat-trick of Origin crowns. Watching in awe was a youngster called Adrian Lam, who would go on to star for the Maroons in the following decade.

In this commemorative DVD, tammy' pays tribute to his own heroes like Lewis, Meninga, Miles, Vautin, Walters and Langer by presenting extended highlights from the golden era of 1987-89.
