Rick was once a decent guy who now finds himself a widow, faced with a distant daughter, an arrogant boss half his age and a corporate job that gets more and more degrading with each passing day and forces him to act like the brash and sarcastic jerk he suspects he's becoming.
Now he's looking for a new assistant. But instead of interviewing the applicant, he badgers and humiliates her, finally throwing her out of his office, as disgusted with her as he is with himself. When he bumps into her again that night, it sets off a catastrophic chain of events. No wonder his sense of humour is getting a little nasty.
The movie goes beyond dark comedy into dank comedy.
