Every boy in the 'hood wants to make it big - and promising rapper, Diamond, has the talent to do it. He's just got to be heard and he needs cash to do it. So Diamond does what any desperate brother in the ghetto would do: crime that pays well. Then with a demo and the right people behind him, Diamond's dream can be a reality. But this is no fairytale. Diamond is living his life on a knife edge: he's drug dealing, his girlfriend is pregnant, his beloved mother dies, his alcoholic father returns after a 12 year absence and his manager is about to commit a multiple felony robbery that could end Diamond's career before it even gets started.
