THE YOUNG VISITERS is a classic tale of life and love in Victorian England. We follow the charmingly innocent Alfred Salteena and his quest for the hand in marriage of the beautiful Ethel Montacue, with whom he has fallen head over heels in love. However Ethel sees Alfred as her ticket to high society. but this couldn't be further from the truth, as Alfred has only one rather flimsy acquaintance, the eccentric and fabulously wealthy Lord Bernard Clarke. Desperate to impress her, Alfred invites himself and young Ethel to stay with Lord Bernard. Unfortunately for the guileless Alfred. Bernard takes a shine to Ethel and is already plotting how to get rid of his rival! He recommends that Alfred travel to London to seek tuition in the ways of the aristocracy from the Earl of Clincham.Alfred is so preoccupied by his lessons that he is oblivious to this dastardly plot! Ethel's faint interest in Alfred disappears once she spends time with the wealthy and flamboyant Bernard. Will Alfred realise before it's too late?
