Young Arthur (Freddie Highmore - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) is an inquisitive boy who lives with his grandmother (Mia Farrow - The Omen) on a Connecticut farm while his parents work in a far off city. Arthur is enamoured with the amazing adventure stories penned by his long-lost grandfather, Archibald, including the tale of treasure buried somewhere on their land. When Granny is given just 48 hours to come up with the money to save their farm, Arthur devises an ambitious rescue plan and heads off to find the hidden treasure. It is an expedition and that will see him transported to a land beyond his wildest dreams: a place of tiny people, wicked rulers and countless dangers. Racing against time, Arthur must locate the treasure that will save both worlds. It seems an impossible task but he is about to discover that sometimes the smallest heroes can make the biggest difference...
