The Fureys - At Home In IrelandIcon_movClass_E

0, 54 minutes, Rated E

For a tiny island on the rump of Europe, Ireland has produced an inordinate amount of musical talent, but for sheer vitality, versatility, colour and character, nothing and no one can touch the fabulous Fureys. They are now something of an institution as an international Folk based group as they travel all over the world delighting audiences with both their musical ability and their humour.

Music, humour and travel are all the natural ingredients of the Furey family, they grew up in the Dublin suburb of Ballyfermot into a family steeped in musical tradition. Their father was the famous fiddle player the late Ted Furey who made many recordings which are still being released around the globe and their late mother Nora was known for her songs and stories, she also played the banjo and accordion.

We hope you enjoy this DVD which was filmed around Ireland, the country the lads love to return home to after a long tour abroad.
