Adrien (Richard Berry), a specialist at high-risk high-reward bank robberies, has just been released from prison. His cancer has advanced dangerous and he has only a few more months to live.
Werner (Said Taghmaoui), a young mercenary and professional sniper, has pursued his suicidal career in a military conflicts around the world. When the enigmatic Radman (Joaquim de Almeida) offers to hire them to pull off a fake assassination in Bucharest, Adrien and Werner, each for their own reasons, see a chance to solve all of their problems.
The payoff money (1 million dollars each) will allow Adrien to comfortably secure the financial needs of his wife (Anouk Grinberg) and son, and Werner will have the one last thrilling showdown with death. The catch is the two men have agreed to be killed as part of the theatrics of the operation. Even if they don't have much in common, the former bank robber and the mercenary prepare to share their last hours and their deaths together.
At the Crucial moment nothing happens as planned. The two men realise that they have been set up. Alone, isolated and accused of murders they did not commit, the two are seriously trapped. United by their circumstances, Adrien and Werner set out on a wild and risky pursuit of the truth. They must find Radman, protect their families, and, despite what they had planned, stay alive.
