Samantha Nobel (Elizabeth Berkley - Showgirls, Roger Dodger) is the beautiful and high profile editor of V. Magazine. One day, the sex diary of a young woman involved with a wealthy, mob-connected, society man shows up on her desk. Later that day at an exclusive party, Samantha realizes that the pages of the diary refer to reclusive billionaire J.C. Peck (Jason Priestley - TV's "Beverly Hills 90210", The Fourth Angel). Suddenly Samantha smells an international cover story. At the party, Samantha meets Mark (JR Bourne - The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Thir13en Ghosts), J.C.'s younger brother.
With the lure of a private meeting with his brother, Mark persuades Samantha to drive out to their remote country estate. When she refuses his advances, Mark assaults her, and in a violent struggle Samantha knocks Mark unconscious and escapes in his car.
The next morning Samantha is arrested for murder - now she is headline news and the cover story for the tabloids. Spurred on by the desire to clear her name, Samantha begins her own investigation that leads to more murders and more unanswered questions.
