Grace and Matt Needham (Nastassja Kinski and Hart Bochner) appear to have everything; a big house in an affluent neighbourhood, prestige cars and a beautiful daughter. Things are not always as they seem, however... Matt has been unemployed for a long time and his drinking has put a strain on their marriage. For a bit of a break, Grace goes away to an exclusive resort where she meets the charming Julian Banks (William Baldwin), a rich and powerful businessman who openly flirts with her. Grace becomes attracted to him and the two have an affair.

For Grace, the affair was always something that would only last for the length of the holiday. But Julian has another agenda, one that will place Grace and her whole family in grave danger.
