"Where would your dreams take you?"

Andy Venable is nineteen, works for his dad in the warehouse of an appliance store during the day and plays drums in a heavy-metal band at night. Trapped in a lower-middle class family with three sisters, Andy doesn't really have any plans for the rest of his life, but he does know this: his mother, a devout Catholic, is sick, and he'll do whatever it takes to make her dream come true - to visit the Vatican and meet the Pope - before she dies.

But this simple plan of action gets more complex when Andy meets the most incredible, out-of-his league girl and falls head over heels for her. While he juggles impressing this girl and finding the money to send his mom to the Pope, Andy has to deal with his harassing father and his loveable but annoying best friend.

Just when it seems his life can't get any more complicated, he's discovered by two Broadway musical producers for a musical talent that just might be his true calling.

As the different factions of his life - his family and friends, the girl of his dreams, his career ambitions and his self doubts and worries - all put at him, Andy has to make the hard decisions that come with growing up. Andy's a dreamer. But dreaming is easy. It's reality that's hard.

In the vein of Good Will Hunting and Garden State, Rhythm of Life is a coming of age tale about a young man at a crossroads in life. Filled with heart, music, life and loss.... and a set of drums.
