Boynton Beach Club is an hilarious and touching film that looks at the ups and downs, friendships and romantic exploits of a Florida retirement community. Lois (Dyan Cannon) is an effervescent and kind-hearted go-getter, who befriends Marilyn (Brenda Vaccaro), a neighbour who is recently widowed. Lois takes Marilyn under her wing and teaches her to drive and to
live again. There's Jack (Len Cariou) who, encouraged by his wry new friend Harry to start socialising, meets the compassionate Sandy (Sally Kellerman) at the local bereavement group where nearly everyone in the community converges. Here, the motley bunch find their lives intersect, as they discuss losing a loved one, finding new companions, re-entering the dating scene, and what to do with yourself when you retire.
