After the international success of The Piano Teacher, acclaimed director Micheal Haneke again teams up with legendary French actress Isabelle Huppert to create an apocalyptic vision unlike any other.
Set in an unnamed European country sometime in the future, or perhaps the past, Time of the Wolf tells the story of a family-Georges, Anne (Huppert) and their children, Eva and Ben. Fleeing the city for the safety and security of their country home, they discover it occupied by strangers, including Betty Blu's Beatrice Dalle. The ensuing confrontation changes their lives forever.
In the shadow of an unfathomable disaster which has overthrown all normal codes of behaviour, this family must learn to survive in a dark and painful new world.
