The Wedding Banquet was the winner of the 1993 Berlin Film Festival's prestigious Golden Bear and introduced Ang Lee an international audience. Successful New Yorker Wai Tung and his partner Simon are blissfully happy, except for one thing: Wai Tung's conservative Taiwanese parents are determined he find a nice girl to marry! To please them, and get a tax break, he arranges a sham marriage to a sexy go-getter in need of a green card to work in America. But as his family jets in for the wedding of the year, Wai Tung is reminded that after every wedding day, comes the wedding night a three is going to make a crowd.
