1993, 97 minutes, Rated PG

A scrappy, adventurous twelve-year-old from Missouri, Billy "Huck" Thomas (Chauncey Leopardi_ leaves his cruel step-father Russ (Christopher Stone) in pursuit of his legendary, swashbuckling grandfather.  Huck ends up in Los Angeles with his Aunt Darlene (Dee Wallace Stone), one of the very trendy, very tacky L.A. Nouveau riche.

His journey sets him on the road to Las Vegas where he teams up with a drifter named Jim (Graham Greene), a down-and-out American-India who's running from a bumbling, gun-toting mobster MAX (Joe Piscopo). From the danger-infested waters of the Los Angeles River to the orange - groves off the California interstate, Huck and Jim manage to stay one step ahead of their pursuers.

Once in Las Vegas, Huck tracks his Grandfather (John Astin) to a seedy motel on the outskirts of La--Vegas where he uncovers the incredible truth about him. In a deadly confrontation, Huck uses hi-ingenuity to get him out of his scrape with Max and is reunited with his mother.
