A daughter, living in the future, a father, living in the past. Together, nothing's prepared them for the present. Sometimes all roads lead to the same place.

Two-time Oscar-winner Jason Robards, ER'S Sherry Stringfield and international singing star Clint Black are featured in this poignant drama about a woman's struggle to come to terms with her fathers illness, and her desire for a meaningful life, in Going Home.

Though high-powered editor Katherine Barton (Stringfield) has it. all- including a relationship with the handsome and successful Jack Ehrlich, and a blossoming career - she learns some very disturbing news. Her elderly father, Charles (Robards), is in serious trouble.

Traveling to her small hometown, Katherine tries to organize her father's house, not fully understanding he is living in a fantasy. world: Charles not only thinks Katherine's 'long-deceased brother is still fighting in the Vietnam War, but tie also believes Katherine's mother is still alive. When Katherine finally heads back to New York..she receives another distressing. phone call regarding her father. This time, Katherine rushes out of a fancy party to be at his side.

Back in her hometown again, Katherine makes an appointment for her father with Dr. Warren (Black), and learns that her father does not have Alzheirners Disease. Warren explains that Charles lives in the past because he no longer has any friends or hobbies. As Charles improves with his daughter's help, Katherine develops a .growing - bond with Dr. Warren. Soon, Katherine is faced with a decision that will change her life forever: stay with her family who desperately needs her, or accept a major promotion.

As Katherine makes the difficult decision and returns to New York, she realizes there just might be a way she can help her family and achieve her. professional dreams: But will she have the courage to follow her heart for the first time in her life?
