Will (Matthew Newton), a young stockbroker, makes an ego-fuelled bet with his wealthy friend Angus (Aden Young) - who can make the most money in 90 days.

Will's desperation to prove himself turns the betting game into an obsession which forces him to measure the cost of his ambition against the true value of love.

The Bet is a classic morality tale - set in the very contemporary, glamorous city of Sydney - about a character who is forced to confront the perils of ego, the consequences of ambition and the value of love.
